Ingredients:

  • 1 qt. water
  • 1 hand ginger, sliced, or chopped (you may leave the skin on if you wash it really well first, otherwise peel lightly with the back of a spoon)
  • 1 bottle tonic water
  • 1 splash Lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. In medium pot combine water and ginger.
  2. Bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce to a simmer for 2 hours.
  4. In 12 oz glass (tall) add 1/4 cup of the ginger extraction to about 1 cup of tonic water (basically fill to about 1.5 inches below rim), taste and add lemon juice and sweetener until adjusted to your liking.
  5. Top with ice if desired.
  6. Enjoy!

Makes: Up to you as it depends on what you can stand for strength.

Suggestion: Use it in place of store bought Ginger-Ale (I mean garbage).

Notes: Gets rid of raspy throats and sniffles faster than a super hero can shout “SHAZAAM!!!”
