The mod author’s are steadily fixing their mods. The server is steadily becoming stable. Bet it has something to do with that I did not pregenerate the server worlds.
My recommendation is that server owners use the pregeneration mod I provided to generate at least 5k blocks radius from spawn. Yes, that will take a long time on the best of machines. Thankfully the command will run right alongside players and players will just think it’s normal lag.
In my case the pregenerator won’t work because I trap everyone in a glass bubble at spawn and force them to random teleport (RTP) out. This pretty much guarantees everyone will have a dragon or two to fight and that they will come upon tons of unclaimed territory. The alternative is that they run forth from spawn and claim everything making each new player needing to run further and further out before they can build, battle or eat. That’s not cool so I use the RTP method. The other option and I do it too, is let them run from spawn, but claim that first map square entirely. Pure RTP is the way to go.
Today we got some updates and we added three profiler mods to the pack. Yes that means we got four now if you count lag goggles. Each has its own way of measuring lag and each measures different types of lag. There is some overlap between them too. Hopefully we can really pinpoint the issues.
Decided to add a wee bit more mods, like some OpenComputers stuff. Look for some quest lines for them soon.
Also Chisels and Bits.
